Today i found in me a tree growing
deeper , happier and better
Where the cold breeze of courage , endurance and confidence touched the warmth of my cheeks
How in firmness, its leaves taught me to remain soft
From years now i remember planting this tree
but self- doubt and anxiety
took the water and sunlight
I wonder how could I ever grow
For years I've been trying to look perfect for others
and never for myself
Asking a hundred others
how do i look today ?
and never myself
How I've been living inside my body
and never loving it
Today i want to feel
i want to feel and embrace
the deepest parts of it
i want to smile and smile until my cheeks hurt
i want to love myself more and more today!
