In the Night A velvet sky weeps silent tears, For spirits lost before sunrise, A broken soul of tortured fears, With golden hair and azure eyes, Once more forgotten, left behind, Discarded dreams of yesterday, Never to look for, not to find, A morning’s peace or a new day, The moon it whispers a lullaby, To the lost and lonely child, Sleep and be still, now don’t you cry, There’s hope tomorrow running wild.
