What is it that we're paying for How did it go so wrong We missed the turn to righteousness Left humming that 'ole sad song The rows of desolation Laid our for us to choose Which one we ask is ours With little left to loose The joker and the thief were there Both grinning selfishly The lots were cast between them Knowing who it'd be A'hah, you think you're something I heard one of them say We've got you where we want you This globe is ours to save Her art was left on vellum In graphite number two The sun did set it shimmering Our chins upon our chests.
