This is so well thought out and indeed clever. Poetic licence such as this is, gives us through a reflection an insight on many things. Yet what this does most is show us how you're guided by an inner strength that is so often and easily overlooked,  never lose sight of that, brother. 

I also get a great deal of humour from the way you write, it gives us reason to smile openly, unsarcastically and without cynicism. I often like to laugh at myself, only then do I have the freedom to laugh at and with others too. It's a great poem I'm so happy to have read and commented on.
