All the way back to my home Are pink roses on every side: You were there to hold my hand Wasn't hard for you to decide. What I was didn't matter, That striking stare from your eyes: Was a great thing to see, Only I don't get to see it twice. All the way back to my home, You took my hand in yours: When it got bright just after dark, I stepped through the open door. All the way back to my home, We say our last goodbyes, The smell of earth touched by rain, And pink roses on every side.
