Tightly closed eyes spark imagination Finding some place that is safe Safe from broken glass and shattered hearts A place that is not so fragile Trembling hands go numb They search for something familiar Hoping to stumble upon comfort Something to give them feeling Holding back venomous secrets My lips settle on a familiar friend Inviting a new poison to drown my secrets Praying it will work this time
