You’ll know it’s time when the hour has come Like a clock ticking in our consciousness Alarmed by the realization of will and decision Cooled by satisfaction or lesson Makes experience a fragmentation of one’s duration From antiquity to renaissance The monster lives Struggling through the mind of the living and the stories of the dead A measure of relevance A watch to a handy living The name of the past and the future A friend to a meaningless voyager Or an enemy to a meaningful soul.
