I’ve never had to think before now How to say it There’s never been someone To say it to It’s harder than it ought be I think It’s just three words, some lines and dots Or sounds It would only take a second To tell him But fear is staying my tongue My hand Are these words he wants to hear? Will he leave? I’m scared to take that step Off the edge
