they crawl out silently over the carpet on six skinny jointed legs they come out to die their tiny antennas feel the earth for one last time their tiny eyes blink as the light surrounds them the tiny creatures forsaken by man to live in the shadows only coming out into the day when their eternal night is most near the bugs crawl out on six jointed legs to die on my carpet
