I always couldn't wait for midnight Especially on days when the moon shined in all it's glory When everyone found solace in their bed When I would stealthily creep out in search of my lover The one who made my heart beat faster I always couldn't wait for midnight When the stars danced and twinkled I the sky while the moon bore witness to our love when I rested my head on your shoulders And flushed at the words you spoke I always couldn't wait for midnight When we stood under the palm tree And the soft breeze bore witness to the sweet nothings you whispered When we watched the waves gushing And the tides told stories of our undying love
