Hearing Brahms’ lullaby wraps moms’ voice around my shoulders; her cozy caress, once again! Memory-visions of her statuesque, dignity on stage; bring, ‘Down the house’ recall; past applause and a tear! And, Oh, her sweet banana puddin’ hot over vanilla wafers moms’ fragrance in the kitchen lovin’ us at home. And, ‘when on the road’ those tender-scented notes; penmanship touching hearts, longing for her return! Jon Von Erb 5/2020
