I made you believe in my words, spoken I let you hold on to my promises, broken All the ghostly vows i made to you, lying I ended up leaving you behind, crying But i believed my lies as well I guess i also couldn't see Trying to hold on to the future, That was never meant to be I see the tears roll down your face, In shame i turn away Because if i look into your eyes, I'll be compelled to stay It hurts treating you as a stranger But we are better off moving on I'm sorry it had to be this way But you will be happier when I'm gone
