We only had a few hours that day But it was sunny and beautiful and full of light, I never wanted to leave your side. The taste of your soft lips on mine, Was sweeter than the brightest sunshine. Near the river on a fence we lay The softest skin I've ever felt, And the bluest eyes that can make me melt. The way you held me close and tight Every moment seemed so right. You wrapped your arms around my waist I leaned in a little closer just to hear your heartbeat, That day we skated and walked with bare-feet. Watching you drive away wasn't too bad I swear, Though it would have been easier if I didn't care. Our first hug was the sweetest embrace But just being in the same room was breathtaking, My heart, immeasurable joy when you said 'intoxicating.' Someday we'll be together again, Thank you for being my very bestest friend.
