‘What do ya think?’ I asked. ‘God I don’t know to be honest’ Ma Replied. ‘What did we do yesterday?’ ‘I mowed the lawns’ I said. ‘You were out the back sowing potatoes’. ‘That was a lovely day wasn’t it.’ ‘’Twas, I replied. ‘Would have been a lovely weekend if we were out and about like normal.’ ‘Aye, it would. Granny was asking for you on the phone earlier...’ Truth is, they were all lovely days. Me and Ma, just the two of us. Together, like never before. Like always, really.
