Dark, Dark Days Death, death will come to pass, They tell us to believe the elite, So called masters in defeat, Leave the people without to eat, But line pockets of those in high seat. Life, life is not just ours, She claims the earth, seas and sky, No longer seasons go awry, Natural world scuffles by, Leaving man alone to lie. Time, time they say can heal The lives of some already gone. Like dogs removed from a bone, The need to return, not left alone, To die in pain with trauma drone. Light, Light is breaking through The whines of leaders unending crap The people live, laugh and clap, Escaping from the viral trap, To feel life’s transient slap Dark, dark days waiting on a dawn When light appears, When the fear is gone, Where people dance and people sing, No longer scared of unknown things, When crowds appear and bells ring.
