Before the rooster breaks the silence of black My body lies still, but my mind is far from blank Oh how gloomy the weather; so dark, so blue Tight-shut windows forbidding rain to pour through Drops of water racing down from the foggy glass One after another until the moon comes to pass When will it stop? It’s too loud Sleep, come to me. You’re nowhere to be found In a few moment’s time, the noise finally dies down Only the loud thumping in my chest can be heard all around As my deep breaths lull me to my slumber The only witness of the lone sight is the stain of a waterless river t.c.
