They say to live free I should be myself, But when I do so, Some friends judge while others stay away. But the truth is, I don't need to understand Why you don't understand, The way I think, The choices I make, The things I treasure And the love I take. I really want to live free And speak my mind, I want to live free And make my stand, Though not everyone Agrees by my choices. Coz you see, I don't need to understand Why you don't understand Instead, I just need to understand me. The values I hold, The morals I protect, The faith that I keep And the hope that I embrace. I don't need to understand Why you don't understand I just need to understand ME.
