I cannot tell you I cannot show you. If you could go into my mind, You might understand. If this was the past I would be head over heels. I have learned not to fall so easily To reject emotions, To deny love. It is hard for me to feel. To give my emotions to you, I want to give you my heart As easily as you do. Yet I am afraid to lose you I fear that I am not right, That I cannot love. You are my only hope The test I must conquer. Yet I cannot force myself I cannot make myself love you It is not you You could be anyone You could be perfect I still would not feel. You make me want to change To be different, then what I told myself to be Can you change me? Can you break my chains, I locked upon myself.

The Chains I Locked Upon Myself
