They sewed in button eyes And they fixed you a fake smile They offered you a better life But turns out it was just a lie Everything they do Is just to lure you In to reality And in the end they show you the truth of our society And what we’ve come to be Its the proof that people don’t accept the real me. And that we need something to filter the world we see All the people in this this World are just blind Not to see the the truth Of what’s behind Of whats real Because we’re all scared That they won’t care And we will go there To all the promises of a better life And we know its just a lie Because of all the things we do To try and make your life Better than what you once knew But your making a sacrifice Means taking away the people who You once loved But you won’t care Because you’re sure that Your ‘happy’ Because your never accepted The truth of our society

The Truth of Our Society
Obviously inspired by Neil Gaiman’s Coraline
