Lost in a lonely world, With no place left to go. People always around me, but its only just a show. My life is just a perception of what I want them to see. They don't understand, They don't know the real me. They all pretend that they care, Say the right things when I'm needed. And when I let my guard down, I'm left shattered and defeated. I try to mask the pain I feel, With a smile on my face. It doesn't matter where I am, I still feel out of place. I am the outsider, That's always looking in. Im fighting this constant battle, I can never seem to win. As I sit here in silence, I don't know what to say. How can I make them understand? That hearts are not for play.
