The songbird sings as bright as day, You don't listen anyway The throttle starts to waver, And the notes, you don't savour. Songbird singing to light the way Songbird singing to tell the day What the bullies and hypocrites hear What the saviours and young ones fear The light has shone, You're never alone, A bullet has missed, A saviour in the midst.

Songbird (pt #2)
The songbird sings as bright as day, You don't listen anyway The throttle starts to waver, And the notes, you don't savour. Songbird singing to light the way Songbird singing to tell the day What the bullies and hypocrites hear What the saviours and young ones fear The light has shone, You're never alone, A bullet has missed, A saviour in the midst.
