A crack in the wall, breaking apart Cover with tape, I thought this was smart But edges start to curl, the middle is next  It lands on the floor, I am perplexed A crack in the wall, breaking apart I hope some glue will give me a fresh start Once dried, the problem can be seen Nothing was covered, the floor is unclean A crack in the wall, breaking apart A bit of mud from the garden cart Minutes later it crumbles to the ground Back to the start, new planning to be found A crack in the wall, breaking apart Finely chosen paint from the colour chart, Here's to hoping for a fine piece of art Instead it looks like a bleeding heart A crack in the wall, breaking apart There is only one way to fix it all A picture is nailed right over the flaw Nothing can fix that crack in the wall
