Momma's eyes were filled with tears, The day that Daddy died, His body was laying by the shed, The day that Daddy died, The field was plowed and the seeds were sown, The day that Daddy died, God gently lifted him to Heaven above, The day that Daddy died, The angels took him under their wings, The day that Daddy died, Momma's eyes were filled with tears, The day that Daddy died.
