It emerges from behind Reigning over the lights I see a devil smirk, half illuminated and flushed with shadow for another the another side I goad back at it My anger witnesses no shriek Who has laid me down Teethering to a pedestal unknown My pedestal on any butter slides I, obstinate, pluck the prompts out I'm standing even now This time it's my feet and not your arms
