Dark green carpet upon the floor, And old fashioned door knobs upon each door, Grandmother's hands dancing across the ***** as she sung; And melodies through the house rung. Joy prevaded this pleasent house, Where kitties once sat waiting to pounce upon a mouse, Where my Grandmother would happily hum as she would cook; And in the Orchard my Mamma would be reading a book. ~Marian~
