i am a writer
i am an artist
i am a lover
i am my mother’s
daughter with my
father’s eyes
i am a survivor
i am a fighter
with scarred fists
i am gentle
i am caring
i am selfless
but beware
i am not naive
nor gullible
nor small
for i will pull the sun
down
with bare hands
and i will not let
anyone
take it from me.
