The games of fun and make believe have gone, And soon the memories will dissipate. Just as the Moon eludes the Sun at dawn, So fun will evade your future state. Faeries you imagined will slowly fade, The castles in the sky will crumble down. Logic will crush this haven you have made, Reality will cause mermaids to drown. You can't escape the nature of your mind, The pretend friends have always disappeared. As years advance we descend from cloud nine, Just as each generation always fears. The tragedy of this realization: We lose true friends of imagination.

Imaginary Friends
