walking in my garden a budding blossom captured my sight she had rosy lavender petals and glabrous leaves parted enough to see a dripping stamen i stroked the smooth bulb fingertips playing at the slit then slipping in to dip in honey pollen morning mist swirled around my wet fingers as i lifted this raw bud to my lips and licked her citrus nectar
