my ears close up,
the voices fade into the background.
all i can hear is my thoughts,
they cloud my mind,
make my heart feel heavy.
breathing comes in shaky bursts,
drops of sweat slip out my skin,
i’m unable to grasp control of it.
i want to call out,
scream for anything..anyone,
but not even a single whisper comes,
i’m trapped.
