I loved you all very much, you know. It’s not that I didn’t. I loved everything, but I think that was my problem. I’m not sorry that I am here, for it is a release from love. “To love is to destroy, and to be loved is to be the one destroyed.” I read that somewhere. After that- and even before- I felt the burden of the damage I did to everyone I met, And to myself. One day, I felt it too much, and all my love soured to hatred. Then I took the knife and turned my love inward, And here I am in the dark, Free and empty. It is not so bad as you might suppose.
