That cold, unfeeling being surrounds you with his towering weight; corrupting you, mind and soul. My hand was placed in yours; Soon after, he took it in his. Once bright blue eyes have lost their luster The grey's overcast all else. We both cannot have you; his grip is far too tight. My calls into your darkness, muffled, by the creature covering your ears. I sorrow, seeing you so lifeless, The crumbling shadow of you who once courted me. Not for long, but such time will be precious. I sorrow, seeing you in such pain, Wishing my kiss could aid. What a brave soul you are, Knowing this battle is best fought alone. What kindness and wisdom is kindled Knowing I would be left gasping in it's wake. With a sigh, a nod, a hug, I say: So long, blue eyes. Though we may not meet again, Takes these words that I offer. When that shade's gone and done with you, Shine, and keep on shining.
