I find this poem really clever. I love the way the poem opens with an uncertain 'seems' then proceeds to make what appear to be more statements of fact. And then in the second stanza, after making those statements, we end on another flip back into the unknown. This led me to re-read and consider the statements of fact as being factual in relation to how the protagonist experiences the fear in connection to how death 'seems' not necessarily what happens at death. Hmmm... I'm still thinking about this...
