And then they came from the north, Emboldened guns in their hands; They came to take control of their dreams. Salacious plunder, life henceforth, Greedy devastation expands Such young eyes to witness their schemes. You lived with rubble and in dirt, Forgotten refugee left behind In a world that no longer seems to care.
