Sheila I will never make you stay awake At 7pm on a Saturday evening I’ll have you sleep the boredom away That yawns at you every time we’ve finished dinner I’ll smile it off, when you tell me It’s been a long day. Let’s have a rest. Four hours Soon, I tell myself Already next Saturday I will be beautiful and slim and interesting I’ll be worth a chat over a glass of wine I’ll make you laugh and you’ll make me smile And before you even realize We two stayed up for a while
