This is more of a rant
than a rhyme
more of a shame
than a crime
A corporate hypocrisy
lying too the rank and the file
selling an imaged philosophy
like feces dumped and compiled
It rattles in the eves and gutters
what they say but will not do
adding up the liberal numbers
monies just passing thru
Austin's HEB's no way no how free bags
in all of the towns that surround
you'll find that bureaucracy lags
given away plastic and brown
No greater bow ****** liberals
than to cave and give in too fools
that bags given free without doubt
took up less in city landfill
than the ones you pay for
like tools

A small explanation of the issue here in Austin Texas, a few yrs ago the Austin city council in it's total ability to be idiotic, passed a law that says you can't give away the onion skin bags, due to the environmental impact. So, all retail stores had to use reusable bags. Recently (this year) a federal court has ruled this illegal and an injunction was filed on behalf of the people of stupid land (ooooops, I meant Austin) that allows retailers to once more give away free onion skin bags to customers. Most intelligent retialers realized this was stupid and once more provided such bags too it's customers, with the exception of.....
I went too the Grocery store (HEB Henry E Butts!)
and bought some groceries (mostly beer ;D) and saw these bags behind the counter and grabbed a few for my stuff, at which point the a-ho cashier, named Brett, informed me those were not available as they were only for cold items (I know, beer is cold? isn't it?) If he hadn't of been a **** about it I would have simply let it pass, but those who know me, know, I can't let such rudeness go unpoetic. Sooooo, over came the manager, who blamed the policy on corporate HEB. The same corporation that allows such bags to be free at all surrounding cities and towns, just not, in Austin!
Hypocrisy at it's finest! IMO ;D
#####Disclaimer#########
names have been changed to protect dumb ***** and liberals (named Brett) ;D
