How do I say no to my heart? When my mind says he's no good. And I know I should forget: His face His touch His kiss His smile His walk His voice His love He did me wrong I know When all I did was good When all I did was love him When all I wanted was a touch It didn't seem too much to ask. How do I forget him? When I slept with him: ate with him cooked for him shared with him made love with him And talked about life until the wee hours of the morning. Why is it so hard for my mind to agree with my heart? I see pictures of us together and I long for the times when he was near The times he kept me from harm: held me tight took me out wrapped me in his arms cried with me in bed And yet I cant let it happen again.
