By: Cedric McClester Yesterday, the coal mine closed Like the future we were promised Heaven only knows And the steel factory’s next I do suppose Since the tariffs were placed Business comes and goes Where in the world Does a working man go? When he’s put in his time But has nothing to show But a broken back And calloused hands When he’s unable to meet His family’s demands? We made a choice The last election We were told we’re going In a new direction Which helped us in Making the selection But all that we’re seeing Is his dereliction Where in the world Does a working man go? When he’s put in his time But has nothing to show But a broken back And calloused hands When he’s unable to meet His family’s demands? Cedric  McClester, Copyright  © 2018.  All rights reserved.
