What are you writing?" Netanya said. I paused typing. "Poetry," I replied. "Can I see?" I showed her a typed page. "What's it about?" She peered at the typed page. "You read it to me," she said. She handed me the page. I read her the page. "Bit abstract," she said. I wanted to continue to type before the ideas fled. "Read it again," she said. I read it again, translating the Latin words into English. "It makes sense now," she said. I began typing again and she smiled and left the room. Downstairs the T.V. played. Her daughter played some music in her room a bit loud. I typed two fingers until the page was done. No errors despite the interruption and the noise. I pulled out the typed page and read it through. I guessed I'd have to read it through for her too.
