I am afloat in an ocean of tears As the salt softly touches my skin And the fish who swim below me Do not know in which waters they swim. The waves crash down onto the shore Letting tears trickle into the sand And the sadness starts pulling me under And I scream as I reach for your hand I am gasping for air in this ocean But with each breath, air escapes And the salt of the tears blind my eyes And the watery world loses shape. My lungs are crying for air, And my heart is crying from pain, And my body is crying from pressure, I see ripples as it's started to rain. But you watch for a boat as I drown And you watch my last breath as it leaves My body goes limp, but I cannot die, For my heart has not yet been relieved.

Ocean of Tears
I am afloat in an ocean of tears As the salt softly touches my skin And the fish who swim below me Do not know in which waters they swim. The waves crash down onto the shore Letting tears trickle into the sand And the sadness starts pulling me under And I scream as I reach for your hand I am gasping for air in this ocean But with each breath, air escapes And the salt of the tears blind my eyes And the watery world loses shape. My lungs are crying for air, And my heart is crying from pain, And my body is crying from pressure, I see ripples as it's started to rain.
