Fall to ashes as wood to hearth Preparing to withstand Everything decaying in Nature's unopposed, command Winter takes it's time Each and every year In northern places cold Dark and dire no peer Spring reins in And so defends The markings of Winters end Hallowing Septembering Remembering the past All the days and all the nights Summer's end, at last
