I emerged into the dark, Shadowed with strife, Wrapped in dense bark, Strangling my life, I was told I was too young, They let me know I was weak, I believed where I was strung, I would never even speak, At last a glance of hope, Shining from the heavens above, I was now able to cope, When I figured out love, Follow me my friend, Is all that I had heard, Relationships will bend, But ours was more blurred, Be a leader of others, Build a bridge for all, Guide your brothers, So they may not fall, I am now in the light, I want it no other way, When you figure out what is right, You will no longer be astray.

making my way to the light
