Rich winter snows with their crystalline flakes fall gracing hilltops below Alaskan skyway. Droplets of frozen dew gather as if meeting with purpose to merge. Aputi tweaks all of Mother Earths children. Trees can’t escape as icicles form touching landscape. Quiet echoes as birds occasionally move across canvas of a cloudy sky. Little footprints appear showing proof of life in a white covered terrain and clothing in layers are worn to brave winter winds. Perhaps skies will open again with little Qanitlag flakes dancing upon fields ready for Old Man Winters hug. Reminding those in witness that we’re still far from a winter thaw.
