It's everything and yet it is nothing
It's the prayer you speak out loud and in silence
It's never forgetting and yet constantly having to remind yourself
It's uncompromising
It's speaking their name with so much sorrow
It's the pain you know but can not explain
It's the driving force that navigates the course of your life
It's unassuming
It’s hearing the wind a little louder and yet silencing the rain drops
It’s seeing colours so much more vividly and yet so dull
It's the change in your perspective
It's unrelenting
It's finding your tears in the strangest places at the oddest hours
It’s sleepless nights with beautiful dreams
It’s being there for the people they left behind
It's unfailing
It's realising there's no promise of tomorrow
It's the voice you hear in the place of their absence
It's discerning life is nothing and yet it is everything
It's unyielding
It’s in the ache in your chest
The beating of your heart
It's in the tears in your eyes
The redness of your cheek
It’s in the stride of your step
The weakness in your knees
It's in the clarity of your thoughts
The serenity of your mind
It’s in the clouds in the sky
The vastness of its depth
It's in the ground that you walk
The soil beneath
It’s in the darkness that engulfs
The light that shines through
It’s in the memories of the past
The hopes of the future
It’s in the stories that you tell
The words unspoken
It’s in the blessing of their life
The impact they’ve made
It’s in the void that they’ve left
The emptiness of it
It’s loss, deep and ever true.
