By: Cedric McClester The President’s leaving Because he needs a break The government’s closing? Well, let them eat cake! To blame it on him Would be news that is fake He just wants a wall That we’ll never make The President’s leaving For sunnier climes Despite the fact It’s the worst of times To host a party And close the blinds ‘Cos Mar-a-Largo beckons He’s crossing those lines The President’s leaving To max and relax And to celebrate Cutting the tax That helps the rich While a DACA packs Dreamers are confronted With these salient facts The President’s leaving Getting out of Dodge While a government extension Is caught in hodgepodge See he doesn’t care That accusations are lodged Because he feels he can duck The fuselage Cedric McClester, Copyright © 2018.
