A twice told tale with no record A mystery I purport A salute! The life of man, a wonder Every mind needs to, ponder A salute! An eternal question, "Would any of you who are fathers give your son a stone when he asks for bread?" A salute! Man's answer, "Of course yes! The world.Over the years! A salute! A comrade of the bottle Always too willing to spend no little Will buy a hungry friend expensive wine And on the request for food, give a whine A salute!
