I no longer seek romance For it has brought me nothing but pain So now, I just seek someone to have fun with As we descend to the downward spiral That awaits us all For life is short And love is fleeting
I wrote this six years ago, during a moment when hope felt far away. I don’t feel this bleak anymore, but I don’t want to erase that version of me either. He had something to say. And part of being emotionally honest is letting those parts of us speak, even if we’ve moved on. Writing "Entropy" did help me find a path back to wanting more than just survival.
