I keep trying to prove that love does not exist But you are extraordinarily patient and always loving. I have a hypothesis that love died with Christ on the cross Yet you are the theory of love defying all opinions, Christ shining through you. I’m just sick and tired of loving But you are my rest and cure. I’m just trying not to fall in love Yet around you I’m blind and can only hope that you catch me so I don’t hit the ground I want to tell you my dreams I want to tell you about my scars I want to talk to you about my fears But really, I dream of scars my stone heart will carve when my fear of you leaving turns into reality I don’t know if I fear heaven being real or not If I fear you being a fantasy or just an ordinary being. You are the I’m possible in impossible As I kneel and pray I hope wherever my prayers go They can explain how and why you made love blossom in my concrete heart.
