Early morning, up at five Its so good to be alive The birds are singing the sky is blue No more thinking Not of you A new day dawns With sleepy yawns I start my chores Some are fun some a bore But, when all said and done I know, i am a lucky one I have my health, i have my mind I have a job, i have free time I have more than so many, i have a bed And when i sleep there is a roof above my head I need for nothing in this scheme of life It would be nice to have a wife Maybe, one day, she will show herself And then, no longer, will i feel Left on the shelf
