The thing I wanted most To mend me of my pain My ache and my own coldness Something I never told you As much as I wanted to Take me back to when I loved you A the tip of my tongue and the back of my mind It lingered day and night But I never said a word Something I never told you It burned a hole in me Take me back to when I loved you Well I learned my painful lesson The things I never did will haunt me And you were just a liar Something I never told you But I'm not sure I should Take me back to when I loved you Yes, you may have burned my mind You tore my heart to shreds But you couldn't scratch my soul Something I never told you And now I never will Take me back to when I loved you
