I was poetically perusing
the poems at HP
when I stumbled
upon such fantastic flowing verse
en español
that I had to tell the poetess
she had a divine gift . . .
that her work was
rubendariesco . . .
that her verse was far better
than most of the slop
one finds at this site . . .
After several minutes
I realized I had been reading
the works of one of Latinoamérica's
most celebrated poets:
Juana de Ibarbourou (1892-1979)
